Welcome to JEMP2024 - The 3rd International Conference on Study Days on Polymer Materials
We are delighted to announce the upcoming 3rd edition of the Study Days on Polymer Materials (JEMP2024), which will be held on October 14-15, 2024, at the University of Bejaia, Algeria.
JEMP2024 is a collaborative effort between the Laboratoire des Matériaux Polymères Avancés (LMPA) and the Faculty of Technology of the University of Bejaia.
Based on the success of previous editions, JEMP2024 aims to offer a platform for researchers to explore and debate on recent advances in the field of polymer materials. The current edition focuses on the theme of the impact of plastic waste on the environment: causes, consequences and solutions.
More than a hundred participants are expected at this event including researchers, experts, and professionals from Algeria and abroad.
For this event, several relevant topics will be covered by the speakers within the multidisciplinary domain of polymer science and technology with plenary and invited lectures, as well as opportunities for scientific communications through oral and poster presentations. The topics include:
1. Advances in polymer design (polymer synthesis - processing and bioprocessing and polymer recycling and valorization).
2. Polymer sustainability (bio-based polymers and composites and biodegradable polymers).
3. Polymer Applications: Challenges and opportunities (packaging, biomedical, automotive, buildings and other applications).
4. Petro-chemistry and oil refinery (polymer coatings for corrosion protection, polymers in petro-chemical manufacturing and polymers in drilling fluids applications, etc.).
On behalf of the organizing committee, we extend a warm invitation to you to take part in this scientific event. It is also a good opportunity to come and discover Bejaia, a thousand-year-old Mediterranean city and all that it can offer you in natural landscapes, beaches, forests, monuments, museums, etc.
We hope that you will enjoy both your participation in JEMP2024 and your stay in Bejaia.
The chairman
Prof. Mustapha Kaci
